The Golden Webdesign system.
Heritage preserved, elevated. This is the living standard for how Nephila looks, moves, and speaks — building on the 2023 identity and the gold-and-olive heritage, refined into a premium dark-luxury system.
Gold and bold — woven in code.
Nephila takes its name from the golden orb-weaver, whose silk is — gram for gram — stronger than steel. Strong enough to be woven into nets and cloth. That is our metaphor and our standard. Every element of this system reinforces one idea: we don't build websites, we weave technology.
One mark, two lockups.
Horizontal · gold on ink · primary digital lockup
Vertical · dark wordmark on light
Wordmark set in Exo (locked in the logo artwork). The icon is always gold; the wordmark is gold on dark, or Heritage Greenish-Gray #36453B on light.
The web, standing alone.
The palette, reconciled.
Gold and olive remain the signature, exactly as the heritage demands — now anchored on deep ink for a premium, luxurious feel. Heritage 2023 values are preserved as named swatches.
Gold — the light source
Our signature. Reserve it for what matters: headlines, primary actions, the web itself.
Olive — the living accent
Growth, openness, the natural world the spider belongs to. A grounding counterweight to gold.
Ink — the night
The void the golden web is woven across. Deep, calm, premium.
Neutrals — the silk
Type, dividers, and quiet surfaces. Never pure white on dark — always softened.
The signature gradient
linear-gradient(120deg, #FFE9A8, #FFD86F 28%, #F0B323 55%, #C88A00)
Poppins & Inter.
Poppins for display and headings — geometric, confident, a natural sibling to the Exo wordmark. Inter for body — quiet, legible, modern. (Heritage: Exo + Open Sans.)
Everything weaves.
Expo-out for entrances (cubic-bezier .16,1,.3,1). Things arrive quickly, settle gently.
Gold travels along paths — pulses on the web, the scroll progress bar, reveals from below.
Motion serves meaning. Honour prefers-reduced-motion; never animate for its own sake.
What we stand for.
Confident but humble. Warm but precise. We speak in the language of craft and weaving, never hype. Nine principles hold the work together:
Do & don't.
Give the logo room — clearspace of at least the icon's half-width on all sides.
Use gold on ink, or the dark wordmark on light. Always keep AA+ contrast.
Let the web breathe — it's a light source, not a texture to tile.
Don't recolour the icon outside gold, or stretch / rotate the lockup.
Don't place the logo on busy imagery without a scrim or glass panel.
Don't use pure black (#000) or pure white (#fff) as base — use Ink and Paper.
